Welcome!

Where I’m from

I am from a small city in western Wisconsin called Eau Claire, same city as Bon Iver. I photographed several of thier shows for a local magazine in their early days.

Previously a photographer obsessed with long exposures and artificial light, the camera is where it all started for me. It was my first go at pushing the boundaries of technology that could produce beautiful results.

What I’m good at

I have over 10 years of experience crafting new products and elevating existing applications for mobile and web. I am an expert at turning insights into beautiful solutions, aligning cross-functional teams, and launching global products that drive growth.

I’ve led product transformations at Eagleview, Verizon and adidas. My work has reached billions of users, generated hundreds of millions in revenue, and, a couple times, unlocked new brand new market opportunities.

Why I do it

I love shaping the way we interact with technology. When done well, it empowers us to be more creative, more empathic, and will open up the most extraordinary opportunities of our time.

Senior Digital Product Designer

adidas

2024 - Present

Leading high-impact initiatives for Global e-commerce at adidas. While much of my work is under wraps, I can share that I’m building a design vision that brings our team together across leadership, product management, engineering and design.

Senior Product Designer

Seekr

2023 - 2024

I designed AI-powered products that created meaningful human value. We started with our proprietary generative AI model and uncovered opportunities where it could meet real user needs. One of my first projects tackled trust in media, creating tools to help people distinguish false or misleading news from high-quality, truthful reporting. This showed promise and the designs had great user feedback but the product wasn’t worth investing in long term.

We pivoted and I led the design of a new responsive, web app that helps brands find the right podcasts to advertise on, matching suitability requirements and risk tolerance with machine learning insights. Launched in December 2023, it gave advertisers a smarter, data-driven way to connect with their audiences. This product is still showing market success today.

Across both projects, my focus was clear, make complex AI approachable and integrated into our users existing workflows.

Senior Product Designer / Mobile Design Lead

Verizon Robotics

2018 - 2022

Skyward was acquired by Verizon Robotics in 2019, and I was asked to lead our native mobile apps during an extrodinary time for our team. I was responsible for our iOS product and guiding a contractor team on Android. To deeply understand our users, I earned my FAA Part 107 Pilot Certificate and joined pilots in the field—mapping workflows, uncovering pain points, and designing solutions that supported their entire mission lifecycle.

By driving alignment through journey maps, prototypes, and collaborative workshops, I influenced product strategy and delivered cross-platform experiences that helped pilots plan their day, execute missions, and turn captured media into measurable ROI. These efforts increased customer lifetime revenue by 250% and positioned us as the first aviation management platform to offer an end-to-end solution—earning partnerships with Disney, John Deere, and UPS.

Product Designer

Skyward

2018 -2019

One of my first initiatives was leading the comprehensive redesign of our mobile app, guiding the transition from React Native to a fully native iOS experience. Beyond managing the migration, I identified opportunities to improve performance, usability, and feature integration, ensuring a seamless connection with our web platform.

We used the reset as a springboard for lasting improvements, introducing design tokens and a foundational design system that would scale across platforms. Delivered on schedule, the redesign exceeded expectations, driving a 35% increase in user satisfaction and setting a new standard for our mobile experience.

UX Designer

Eagleview

2015 - 2017

At EagleView, an aerial photography company with a stronghold in roof measurement services, I found the perfect intersection of my photography background and product design. My first major challenge was high-stakes: designing a virtual claims inspection tool that would help insurance adjusters close hail damage claims remotely and win a competitive RFP with Allstate.

As the sole designer, I partnered closely with engineering and product leadership to build a plan centered on user needs, experimentation, and rapid iteration. Over six months, I designed two internal tools and a customer-facing web application that improved adjuster productivity by 55%. The results spoke for themselves: a multi-million-dollar Allstate contract win, a 2018 Data/Analytics Novarica Impact Award, and a new business model that expanded EagleView’s reach.

This project was more than a design success, it was my introduction to the business side of product design, showing me how the right experience can unlock growth.

Product Designer

Altsource

2017 - 2018

Altsource is a custom software agency serving clients like Consumer Cellular, Special Olympics and Goodwill. I was the lead designer for prospect accounts and Consumer Cellular.

I won contracts with four new clients by researching, ideating, and pitching high-fidelity prototypes that gave companies the insights to digitally transform their business. I enjoyed working in a wide variety of problem spaces like with a trucking, banks, and restaurants.

I spent the other half of my time with Consumer Cellular, our number one client. I paired with engineers and researchers to implement changes to update legacy software for web and mobile. I led improvements in the billing functionality and UI that improved user satisfaction scores by 28% and impacting over four million subscribers.

Education

Masters Certificate, User-Centered Design

University of Washington - Seattle

At UW, I established a strong user-centered design foundation and worked with local tech companies like Amazon, Microsoft and HTC to apply our learnings to real world applications.

I worked four projects:

  • a mobile app to help students connect their degree to careers

  • a cross-platform motivational fitness app

  • HTC usability research for the RE Camera

  • Thesis: a e-commerce web/mobile/future platform connecting family members through food

Bachelor of Arts, Photography

University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire

Here, my creativity was energized by the coolest hidden-nook of art professors east of the Mississippi. I was interested in challenging the relationship between light and the camera to make conceptual art.

Afterward, I moved to Toronto where I became a Photographer for the Art Gallery of Ontario. This was a dream come true at the time, combining my two favorite areas of study — photography and Art History. I also continued taking pictures, building conceptual artwork and exhibiting work around the city.
